Testimonials...

These cards are just lovely. The artistry, print quality and paper stock are all top end. The order came within days all neatly bundled up in tidy little packages. I would order again in a second. Thanks! --GJ

Heidi has a great sense of design. Her work has whimsy details which I really like. I especially love the Cute Little Bear and bought 5 to give as wedding, new baby, change in career cards, and keeping one for myself to display! Easy purchase and quick delivery. I highly recommend. --Carol C.

Fabulous designs and work!! What talent!! I love Heidi’s broadsides and have purchased many of them for myself and as gifts! Waiting anxiously for all her lovely work to be available. --Lisa B.

Why I Print

I have been printing since 2006 and opened my own letterpress studio in January 2020. Prior to that I took classes, was Teacher's Assistant, and took full advantage of the School of Visual Concepts letterpress studio in downtown Seattle. I enjoy helping others to learn the art of letterpress printing, setting type, carving images, and mixing ink.

What do I love about letterpress printing? I am allowed to have fun with images, to be a little quirky or whimsical, and to design and create things that make me happy. But, I also have to solve problems, do some math, visualize things backwards, upside down, or stacked on top of each other. It is so manual--hands-on carving and setting type, mixing just the right color of ink, cutting paper with a 750 lb. Peerless Gem, rhythmically pressing the treadle on the Chandler & Price. And, it is okay to get inky and make a mess in the process!
